Portrait of Brandon Orr

This month, our “get to know” series travels brings it back in house to talk to one of the newer members of our team. This month, we sat down and talked to Brandon Orr.

Read on to learn more about Brandon, how he came to join us here at IPL, what he wished more people knew about PPLI and, of course, what he’s watching on TV these days.

What is your role with Investors Preferred?

I’m the Investment Operations Analyst here at the firm. In my role I review various investments before they hit our platform. I’m also responsible for overseeing transactions for reallocations that take place within policies.

Where did you grow up and go to school?

We bounced around a bit as I was a military brat, but for the most part I grew up in central Texas and I attended Arizona State University.

What led you to a career in financial services and how did you find your way to Investors Preferred?

I was interested in Finance right out of college. I liked the idea of helping people make educated decisions about wealth management. After spending a few years working at some larger institutions on the retail side, I decided to explore opportunities outside of an advisor role. After researching different firms/companies I came across Investors Preferred and was immediately excited about the role as it encompassed everything thing I was looking for in new opportunity.

What do you find interesting about PPLI?

I find it interesting how unique PPLI is as no two cases are the same because no two people’s needs are the same.

What do you wish more people understood about PPLI?

I wish more people new about PPLI in general. We often come across wealth managers who know little to nothing about PPLI but have clients that could greatly benefit from the product.

Why should a prospective policyholder work with IPL?

A prospective policy holder should want to work with IPL because we offer a great amount of flexibility to our clients. At the end of the day, we understand that this is a product that needs to be tied to the needs of the policyholder. With that, we try to handle every case under the assumption that it will be unique from every other.
