This month, our “get to know” series introduces the world to one of our amazing team members who works behind the scenes, John Fernado Rio. John is an Accounting Manager and is one of the longest tenured employs at IPL.

My role with Investors Preferred is Accounting Manager.
I’m originally from Colombia and came to the States (Miami, FL) when I was 8 years old. I attended Johnson & Wales University (North Miami Beach Campus) for my undergrad and Florida International University for my MBA.
I was always good with numbers and in high school I took Accounting as an elective. I found it interesting, so I pursued it after graduating high school. I was working in the Real Estate business as a property accountant for 10 years.
A colleague of mine had left RET and was working for MAS Svc (partner of IPL) and told me about the opportunity to work as an accountant for an insurance company. I interviewed with Nikki, and she gave me the opportunity to be part of the team and have been here ever since.
The complexity of PPLI and how it can be used as a tool for our clients for tax saving purposes.
That is a very diversified tool for perspective clients to use to create or conserve generational wealth.
IPL offers a plethora of knowledge regarding all their life insurance product, and we have strong core values. All of IPL’s employees starting from the President, Board members and rest of the team are passionate, innovative, trustworthy, and authentic.
